When I was six I played Dr. MLK jr. in a play
Didn't. Know exactly what they had to pay
Back then there wasn't No Black History days
But I was taught And I learned
what that it its better to discern
I grew and took my time
after all the man didn't commit suicide
We celebrate his life today
let's think what would he say
Don't ask just look at who you are where your going and how you can raise the bar
I'm striving
we all are
so don't forget to put the
struggles of history in the car
